Ten years ago, the entire Su family was unjustly implicated in a witchcraft case, and only the eldest daughter, Su Zhao Xue, was able to escape. To find her lost sister and uncover the truth and clean her family name, she disguised herself as a man and ventured into the capital. By chance, she joined forces with Fang Ji, an imperial censor implicated in the case, and traveled to Jinzhou as an imperial envoy to investigate. By chance, they stumble on evidence of a local official's conspiracy under the guise of witchcraft, and uncover clues to the Su family's old case.
